This represents one of the concrete intervention actions aimed at “restoring” and re-naturalizing habitats (in general, Actions C include interventions on the soil, cutting invasive species, and improving plant composition. They also includes the preparation of guidelines for the management and improvement of Habitats).
ACTION C4 involves the creation of new Habitat target patches in the ZSC (Special Areas of Conservation) IT1180027, IT1120010, IT2010010, IT2010012, and IT2010013 through preparatory treatments (cutting of woody species and/or grasses, sod-cutting, and/or top-soil inversion) and the dispersion of suitable propagation material. This material will come from donor sites with similar ecological characteristics to the intervention site, using techniques already tested in scientific literature or by the authors of this project, such as the use of surface sand rich in seeds of the typical species for Habitat 2330, or hay cutting for Habitat 6210, or Calluna vulgaris cuttings for Habitat 4030.
